The Great Fast Begins with Clean Monday: All those who receive the Eucharist are required to abstain from meat and dairy products today. If there is a reason that one cannot abstain, it is required to talk with the pastor prior to the beginning of the day to discuss possible solutions of equal penance. This day is to help continue our spiritual health and growth in our relationship with God.
