2021 Paschal (Easter) Celebration at
All Saints Byzantine Catholic Church
We are looking forward to celebrating the Great Feast of Pascha with each and every one of you. This year we will be having the opportunity to join our hearts, souls, and voices together physically in the church. However, there are some modifications and precautions that have been in place with you in mind. I ask that you honor them, follow them, and not to cause a disturbance which will detract from the real reason we are gathered together.
Please be advised of the following:
Any person over the age of two MUST wear a face covering when entering the buildings of the parish or the social hall, and there is absolutely no exceptions. Your face covering MUST be worn at all times fully covering your nose and mouth when entering the church building or social hall, otherwise you may be denied entry. The cantor or lector are the only people permitted during the service to uncover their face as they sing or read. This is in accordance with the recommendations from the CDC, the local government and Eparchial (Diocesan) regulations and guidelines.
We at All Saints completely understand that parents do their very best to try to keep their children’s mask on and we should not be surprised should a child’s mask not be on perfectly at all times.
The faithful are to maintain social distancing of no less than six feet between each family. The rows of chairs are laid out in a manner that each family is to be at least one row from another family.
There is additional seating, should it be needed, in the Social Hall. There are two televisions that will be live streaming the service and we will distribute the Eucharist at the Social Hall during the appropriate time.
Easter Basket Blessings
We will be blessing Easter Baskets after the Divine Liturgy in the parking lot. The faithful are instructed to place their basket either on top of their trunk or place it in their opened trunk of their vehicle and should remain in or next to their basket in the trunk of their car. After the blessings of the various foods, the priests will go around to bless each basket with holy water. At no time should any candle be lit for this year’s basket blessing. Please do not attempt to light a candle for your basket this year. It is extremely dangerous, and could cause serious injury.
